Yes, yes, today was my birthday and it was actually a VERY GOOD one! I had lots of fun and thank you both so much for the birthday wishes. I get the feeling we are the last ones standing on this board sometimes. :giggles:

Actually in my former life as a chat room addict, a couple friends and I used to refer to ourselves as the three stooges.

I think most GL boards are going to be fading away. I'm thinking about starting a GL roleplay again once the show ends for those wanting to keep their favorites alive. But just GL themed discussions are going to be hard to keep going.

First, of all I would DELIGHT in being Curly. :nod:

And secondly, if we're talking the GL musketeers then I want to be Rick. He's the supremely underrated hottie of the whole show! :lovestruck:

Thirdly, thank you Paris for the bday wishes! You're super sweet! :shy:

And finally, yeah, I had a feeling that GL cyber haunts would start to peter out and fade away. I guess I just didn't assume it would happen so fast since the show is still on the air. SIGH. Oh well.

I'm not sure what's going to happen with this board. We're all paid up through 2011 so we're not going anywhere! :silly:

I'd like to fix it up to somehow stay a living tribute to the show, but I think the hey day has definitely come and gone. [smilie=sademoti.gif]

Well there are a lot of free message board services out there. I've tried most of them. :killingme:

I think these GL boards really have to branch out in order to survive. I have plans to do that with my Spaulding board, keep a small GL area but branch out to other topics.

I am delighted to be the fourth scrooge! I don't know their personalities at all lol. I guess I can be the one with multiply personalities since there are only three scrooges originally. :twisted:

I hope GLC stays up for awhile, and hope you, Cy, know that you have my support in whatever direction you decide to take the boards. Frankly, GLC has a rare quality that many boards lack and I am glad to be an active member.

It's a good thing I bought all those GL memorabilia. I might do scans of them and share when I have a bit more time....

I have sort of a little GL related treasure myself. A Christmas record the featured some of the big soap stars of the day. Tom Nielson (Floyd Parker), Deniece Pence (Katie Parker), and John Wesley Shipp (Kelly Nelson) were among those featured. I think this was around 1980 and cost me a whopping $4.99. :killingme:

All I have is my mom's Roger Thorpe VHS tape. I should transfer it to a DVD for safekeeping.

I have both the Roger video and the Reva video. I know clips from these videos can be found on YouTube. I also have an assortment of soap opera trading cards, including a few from GL. And I have several autographed photos.

The cards I have are from the 1990's. They came in sets of 12, and each set contained one or more star from each show. It was a fun little collectable.
