Well, there are some new ones coming. And I know Edie will be delighted to see that Alex O'Loughlin of Moonlight has a new series - a medical drama. Man, just the photo of him in scrubs has me hooked!
And they are remaking the old alien invasion series "V"! Wow - that could be really bad, or... heck Battlestar Galactica did it!
There's also a new show with Jeremy Northam, and another with Joseph Fiennes and another with Rupert Penry-Jones - so the invasion of non-American leads continues.
Here's a site that lists info on shows from all the networks:
http://www.falltvpreview.com/showlist.phpAnd you can see actual previews on some of the network sites for the new shows too. The one for Happy Town on ABC looks interesting, as does Flash Forward and The Forgotten.
So perhaps all is not so bleak?
Although I also did read that they are moving The Mentalist to Thursdays. Seriously? We all have DVRs, so why are the networks still obsessed with Thursday nights? Way to promote a popular new show - put it up against an long-term winner.
I agree it must cost a bundle to start up a new show. My issue is they only give these new shows such a short time to find an audience, and if it doesn't happen instantly they scratch it right away!
